Each year in August, Future Generation Australia (ASX: FGX) and Future Generation Global (ASX: FGG) shareholders have the opportunity to vote and allocate their portion of our annual charitable donation which totals 1.0% of each company’s net tangible assets.

Who is eligible to vote?

Everyone who holds shares on Friday 30 July 2021 (the record date) is eligible to vote.

When does voting open?

Voting opens in early August 2021.

When does voting close?

Voting will close on Tuesday 31 August 2021 at 5:00pm (Sydney time) .

How do I vote?

Shareholders will be emailed or mailed details on how to submit their vote using our online voting form.

Am I only able to vote online?

We have improved our online voting system to make your experience easier and more efficient. If you are unable to vote online, you can still request a paper form to vote. We can also help you to complete the online form.

How much will Future Generation donate?

This year, FGX is on track to donate $5.3* million and FGG is on track to donate $6.4* million. This will bring the total amount donated by the Future Generation companies since inception to $52.9 million.

Can I allocate my donation to a charity of my choice?

If you hold under one million shares, you can allocate your portion of the donation to a Future Generation charity partner or partners. To donate to a charity of your choice, you must hold over one million shares on the record date of Friday 30 July 2021. All charities must have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status to be eligible.

Can I combine my Future Generation Australia and Future Generation Global holdings for voting?

Holdings cannot be combined across the Future Generation companies.

What charities does Future Generation support?

Future Generation Australia supports 10 charities working with children at-risk: Act for Kids, Australian Children’s Music Foundation, Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, Debra Australia, Diabetes Kids Fund, Giant Steps, Lighthouse Foundation, Mirabel Foundation, Raise Foundation and Youth Off The Streets.

Future Generation Global supports eight charities working with young people experiencing mental ill-health: Black Dog Institute, Brain & Mind Centre, Butterfly Foundation, Kids Helpline, Orygen, ReachOut, SANE Australia and Youth Focus.

When will Future Generation make the donation payments to the charities?

Future Generation will make the tax deductible donation payments to the charities in November 2021.
