Future Generation Australia (ASX: FGX) and Future Generation Global (ASX: FGG) were founded by renowned fund manager and philanthropist Geoff Wilson AO. They are the first listed investment companies to deliver both investment returns and social impact.

Since inception, Future Generation has donated $87.2 million to high impact not-for-profit organisations – many of which are also supported by the Rotary Foundation, including Reach Out, the Australian Children’s Music Foundation and BackTrack.

How does this work?

Future Generation provides shareholders with exposure to leading Australian and global fund managers who waive all usual management and performance fees, managing more than $1 billion in assets on a pro bono basis. This allows the Future Generation companies to donate 1% of net assets each year to our social impact partners and other non-profit organisations.

Shareholders can decide which non-profit organisations to support, whether this be supporting children and youth at risk (FGX) or investing in the prevention of mental-ill health (FGG). Future Generation are on track to donate more than $100 million by 2030.

As an exclusive service to Rotary members, Ord Minnett, an Australian-owned wealth and investment services firm, will allow Rotarians who invest in the Future Generation companies to direct their 1% donation back to the Rotary Foundation Australia and/or Future Generation social impact partners.

We believe this partnership will provide solid investment returns to shareholders, as well as critical funding to the Australian not-for-profit sector.
