About Future Generation Australia

Future Generation Australia (ASX: FGX) is a listed investment company that aims to deliver a combination of income and capital growth over the medium-to-long term by investing in Australian equities.

Investment strategy

Future Generation Australia is a fund-of-funds model, giving shareholders access to a carefully constructed portfolio of Australia’s leading fund managers. These fund managers, selected and overseen by an expert Investment Committee, invest in Australian equities on behalf of shareholders.

The result is a uniquely active and diversified Australian equities portfolio, designed to deliver a reliable stream of fully franked dividends and attractive long-term returns — with lower volatility than the broader market.

Social objective

We are committed to supporting Australian children experiencing (or at known risk of) adversity to defy the odds and thrive. To achieve this, we donate 1% of the Company’s average monthly net assets to 11 non-profits working to promote healthy relationships, resilience and a positive sense of self in vulnerable children. Since listing in 2014, Future Generation Australia has donated $49.0 million to organisations supporting vulnerable children and youth.

Social Impact

2025 marks a pivotal moment in our giving. Following a strategic review, we have sharpened our philanthropic focus to support vulnerable children aged 0 to 14 to overcome adversity and thrive.

Previously, our social investment supported a broad range of organisations working with at-risk youth. Going forward, our strategy is grounded in the growing body of evidence that positive childhood experiences, especially in the early years, can profoundly change a child’s life trajectory.

Following a national Expression of Interest process – which attracted 329 applicants from across the country – we have partnered with 11 high-performing non-profits that work with children experiencing (or at known risk of) adversity.

These organisations promote resilience, a positive sense of self, and healthy relationships with caregivers and others – the factors that we know help vulnerable children to heal and grow.

Raise Foundation

From feeling alone, angry and lost, Lily’s Raise mentor gave her the space to talk without judgment and the tools and confidence to find a new, positive way forward.

GUTS Dance

From a shy nine-year-old to a confident young woman embarking on a dance career, Jasmine’s story is a powerful example of how community and creativity can change a life.

Karinya House

Karinya House gave Jodie everything she needed to become the Mum she always wanted to be.

KidsXpress

KidsXpress gave Henry what every child needs to feel safe, seen, and understood.

Lighthouse Foundation

How Lighthouse supported Evan and his mum to stay together and heal.

Mirabel Foundation

With his grandmother’s unwavering love and Mirabel’s support, Patrick transformed from a frightened child hiding under desks to a confident young person helping others find their voice.

Yawarda Services

After the sudden death of his dad, my nine-year-old son was drowning in grief and anxiety. Then we found Yawardani Jan-ga and everything changed.

Yiliyapinya

After more than a year out of school and struggling with emotional and behavioural challenges, 12-year-old Drew is back in the classroom – thanks to Yiliyapinya.

The Australian Children’s Music Foundation

Before Lani started music lessons with ACMF, her school attendance was low, and she lacked confidence. Now, she’s house captain and a top public speaker.

Giant Steps

Before William started at Giant Steps, life was chaotic and heartbreaking. Giant Steps didn't just change William's life, it transformed his entire family's future.

Brave Foundation

At 23, homeless, and expecting her second child, Kiara was overwhelmed. With the support of Brave Foundation, she found stability, strength, and a path toward her dream career – and a better life for her girls.
